INTRODUCTION
VACANCY NOTICE
INTER-AGENCY MOBILITY PUBLICATION
In order to fill 1 vacant post in REA unit C.3 - Widening Participation, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) is currently looking for a new collaborator in the role of Project Officer – Call Coordination Support (contract agent FGIII).
REA Unit C3 aims at ensuring that the benefits of Research and Innovation are maximised and widely distributed across the Union.
The unit implements the “Widening Participation and Spreading Excellence” programme whose objective is to strengthen research and innovation performance in Europe, in particular in those Member States and Associated Countries, which are lagging behind (Widening countries).
Stronger participation in Horizon Europe is encouraged and partnering opportunities among EU Member States are facilitated by this cross-cutting programme, which the Unit implements by launching calls for proposals, by funding projects dealing with the implementation of the Innovation Union and the reinforcement of the European Research Area (ERA), and by supporting policy activities of DG Research and Innovation.
Building on the success of the H2020 Widening actions, the dedicated Horizon Europe Widening Programme, implemented by Unit C3, offers a vast array of measures to complement the Smart Specialization Strategies under the Cohesion Policy.
GENERAL CONTEXT
REA is a multicultural and dynamic body set up by the European Commission in 2007, originally for implementing parts of the Seventh EU Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration activities. In 2021, the Commission again extended the REA's mandate, until 2027, delegating to it additional actions of H2020 and Horizon Europe.
Further information on REA may be obtained at European Research Executive Agency (europa.eu).
